A lifting beam often consists of a beam with in the middle a lifting eye at the upper side, and two lifting eyes on both sides at the bottom. A lifting beam, however, can also consists of a larger construction and more lifting points at the upper side of bottom. The larger constructions are also called hoisting frames. KWINT customizes lifting beams according to your wishes.
Advantages of lifting beams
The big advantage of lifting beams is that there will not be much tension or buckling tension on the object, because of the short lifting height.
With enough lifting height available and higher tonnages, we recommend you to choose a spreader in combination with a two legged sling. The spreader is often placed between the chains and keeps them apart. This solution can often be carried out lighter than with a lifting beam.
